A decade of marketing excellence
Let’s rewind 10 years ago to the inception of PHD Marketing. Our Marketing Director, Joanna Stephenson, headed up the Marketing and Innovation division of one of the world’s largest packaging businesses, supplying products to geographies around the globe.
Frustrated that the marketing and communication agencies she worked with didn’t ‘get’ the packaging industry and its nuances, particularly when working internationally, she saw a clear market gap to be filled. Too much time was being spent making changes and adjustments that professionals from the packaging and print sector would have known. From its founding, PHD Marketing has offered dedicated communications services that speak to real-time market needs.


From here, the company has grown and expanded at speed, and our clients love that we know their industries inside and out. It means we build a strong relationship with specific trade media, and can suggest targeted approaches and opportunities that other, more generalised marketing agencies, could (and often did) miss.
As we’ve grown, we have expanded our skills and services to become a full-service end-to-end partner for our clients, and our account retention rates speak for themselves. We have a brilliant reputation in the print and packaging industry (and in fact many of our clients arrive from referrals), and we’re making waves in the life sciences and technology sectors. Grit, knowledge and a brilliant, proactive team have helped us build our reputation over the last decade, and we’re ready to write our next growth chapter.
