Think B2B Marketing MD joins judging panel for inaugural Women in Packaging Excellence Awards

Joanna Stephenson, Managing Director of international B2B marketing communications and strategy specialist, Think B2B Marketing, has been announced as a judge for the first-ever Women in Packaging Excellence Awards.

Aiming to recognise and honour women’s achievements across the packaging supply chain, categories are open to women in roles spanning design, manufacturing, engineering, R&D, supply chain, marketing, technology, and more. Coordinated by emap, the team behind the prestigious UK Packaging Awards, the awards will culminate in a celebration dinner at London’s Hilton Bankside on July 10th 2025.

Joanna joins an esteemed panel of packaging industry experts including representatives from WWF, Marks & Spencer, Ocado, and INCPEN (Industry Council for Packaging and the Environment).

She comments: “I’m delighted to join the judging panel for the inaugural Women in Packaging Excellence awards. As a B2B marketing specialist working with some of packaging’s biggest names, our team sees incredibly talented women, from the machine floor to the boardroom, driving positive change across the industry. These awards provide a perfect platform to celebrate their success and create visible role models for the next generation of female packaging professionals.

“The industry is evolving rapidly and there’s a real buzz in the air, with innovations in sustainability, digital transformation, and smart packaging creating exciting opportunities. Women are at the forefront of many of these developments, bringing fresh perspectives and driving meaningful change. By highlighting these contributions, we want to inspire more women to see packaging as the exciting and rewarding career choice that it is – which is particularly valuable in the face of today’s well-publicised packaging workforce challenges.

“I strongly encourage companies across the packaging supply chain to nominate their talented female team members. Whether they’re emerging talents or established leaders, technical innovators or creative pioneers, their stories deserve to be heard and celebrated.”

Initial nominations are open until February 14th 2025. Companies can submit nominations via the Women in Packaging Excellence Awards website, with the shortlist set to be announced on May 8th 2025.
